Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a notable increase on Friday, with the cost of one tola climbing by Rs2,000 to reach Rs440,636. This rise was reported by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers’ Sarafa Association, highlighting a swift recovery after a dip the day before. Similarly, the price for 10 grammes of gold also saw an uptick, increasing by Rs1,715 to Rs377,774.
These fluctuations come after a decline on Thursday, when the price of one tola dropped by Rs3,000 to Rs438,636 from Rs441,636 recorded on Wednesday. The 10-gramme gold price also fell by Rs2,572 on Thursday, settling at Rs376,059. This pattern underscores the volatility in the gold market over the past few days.
In a significant development earlier in the week, gold prices had surged sharply on Wednesday following three consecutive sessions of decline. On that day, the price of one tola jumped by Rs4,300, rebounding from previous losses of Rs2,100 on Saturday, September 26, Rs12,800 on Monday, and Rs800 on Tuesday. These rapid changes reflect the dynamic nature of the precious metals market and investor sentiment in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, market analysts continue to monitor these price movements closely, as gold remains a key investment and hedge against inflation for many in the country. The recent fluctuations highlight the ongoing uncertainty and responsiveness of the market to both local and global economic factors.
