Residents and homeowners in parts of Kuwait are being urged to prepare for a planned water interruption this week. The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said it will carry out a ten-hour maintenance period at the Doha Water Distribution Complex, beginning at 9:00pm on Thursday 15 October.
The ministry said the work will lower water pressure and cause temporary supply reductions in four large residential communities: Ardiya, Sabah Al-Nasser, Firdous and Ishbiliya. The outage comes as construction teams prepare for upcoming planned installations.
Households urged to store water in advance
To limit the impact on homes and businesses during the outage, the ministry has asked consumers to store an adequate water supply beforehand. Ministry staff thanked the public for its understanding and support.
Infrastructure teams, the ministry said, are continuing work to improve the efficiency and resilience of the distribution network.
Emergency number for residents during maintenance
Residents who cannot access the service, or who face an urgent problem during the maintenance period, should contact the ministry’s emergency number, 152.
