The 27th encounter of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11 took place at the National Bank Stadium on Saturday, featuring the defending champions Lahore Qalandars against Rawalpindiz. After winning the toss, the Qalandars chose to bat first, setting the stage for a competitive match.

Rawalpindiz, including Cole McConchie in their squad, were sent into the field as they sought to reverse their disappointing run this season. Currently positioned at the bottom of the points table with six losses, Rawalpindiz face a tough challenge against the Qalandars, who hold the seventh spot with two victories.

Both teams showcased a blend of international and domestic players. Rawalpindiz are captained by Mohammad Rizwan and feature notable names such as Daryl Mitchell, Sam Billings, Mohammad Amir, alongside McConchie. Meanwhile, Lahore Qalandars, led by Shaheen Afridi, field a balanced lineup with Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique, Sikandar Raza, Haris Rauf, and Daniel Sams, all aiming to bolster their campaign.

In a significant development, this match marked the inaugural PSL meeting between these two franchises, heightening anticipation among fans and experts alike for an engaging and fresh contest.
