Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has said no official announcement has yet been made about imposing an emergency in the province. He said the position would become clearer after a federal cabinet meeting scheduled for 11 October 2026.
Kundi says KP is ready under Articles 232 and 234
Kundi said his province was prepared for both Articles 232 and 234, but that choosing the constitutional provision was up to the federal government. He added that the provincial law and order situation had been shared with Islamabad. He also said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had delayed sending JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to the Prime Minister’s House for talks.
