Pakistan Conducts Precision Airstrikes on Terror Bases in Kabul and Nangarhar

In a significant military operation on the night of March 16, Pakistan’s Armed Forces executed precision airstrikes aimed at dismantling terror-supporting military installations linked to the Afghan Taliban regime. The strikes, carried out under the banner of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, focused on strategic targets located in Kabul and Nangarhar provinces. This operation highlights Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to combating terrorism and securing its borders from cross-border threats.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, provided detailed insights into the operation, emphasizing the successful destruction of critical technical support infrastructure and ammunition storage facilities at two key sites in Kabul. The aftermath of the strikes was marked by visible secondary explosions, which confirmed the presence of substantial ammunition depots at these locations. Such evidence underscores the scale and significance of the targets Pakistan’s forces aimed to neutralize.

Meanwhile, in Nangarhar, the Pakistani military targeted four separate Afghan Taliban military sites. These strikes effectively demolished logistics hubs, ammunition stockpiles, and technical infrastructure that were instrumental in supporting the Taliban’s terror activities. The precision of these attacks ensured that only the facilities directly linked to terrorist operations were hit, minimizing collateral damage while delivering a decisive blow to the Taliban’s operational capabilities in the region.

Minister Tarar further clarified that the targeted installations were being used by the Afghan Taliban regime to back multiple terror proxies, including groups such as Fitna Al Khawarij and Fitna Al Hindustan. The accompanying footage released by the ministry clearly illustrates the nature and extent of the infrastructure that was destroyed, providing undeniable proof of the Taliban’s role in fostering terrorism.

Adding to the gravity of the situation, Tarar condemned the Afghan Taliban’s propaganda efforts, which attempt to mislead both the Afghan population and the international community regarding their involvement in terrorism. He reiterated that Pakistan’s operations under Ghazab Lil Haq are focused on safeguarding Pakistani citizens from the threats posed by what he described as the “Master Terror Proxy.” The campaign will persist until all objectives aimed at eradicating terror sanctuaries are fully accomplished.

It is important to note that these airstrikes come in the wake of a recent cross-border mortar attack by Afghan Taliban forces on civilian areas in Bajaur. This attack, which occurred on a Monday afternoon, resulted in tragic loss of life and significant property damage. Four innocent civilians—brothers Sajid, Ayaz, Riaz, and Moaz—were killed, and a five-year-old child sustained critical injuries. The assault deliberately targeted residential neighborhoods, provoking widespread condemnation from local communities who denounced the Afghan Taliban government for its blatant disregard for human life and international law.

Minister Tarar described the Bajaur attack as a cowardly and intentional strike on non-combatants, carried out in coordination with the terrorist group Fitna-ul-Khawarij. Such actions not only violate fundamental human rights but also represent serious breaches of international norms. The Pakistani government has vowed to respond firmly to such provocations, reinforcing its resolve to protect its citizens and maintain regional stability through continued military and diplomatic efforts.
