Street crime is also continuing in Nazimabad No. 1, where armed suspects robbed residents sitting outside their homes. CCTV footage of the incident, which has been obtained by media, shows two dacoits arriving on a motorcycle and snatching mobile phones and other valuables from three people.

According to the footage, one robber kept the motorcycle running while the other carried out the robbery, after which both fled. Police said the footage had been received and that the victims were in contact with them. The suspects’ faces are reportedly identifiable, and efforts are under way to trace and arrest them.

Online rider robbed at gunpoint near Shaheed-e-Millat Road

In a separate case, two armed suspects on a motorcycle intercepted an online bike rider late on Monday night near Shaheed-e-Millat Road. They took his mobile phone and cash at gunpoint and fled.

Afterwards, the rider was seen sitting by the roadside in tears. He said he had previously been targeted in two separate robberies and had bought the stolen phone for Rs25,000 only two months earlier.

“How will I afford another mobile phone now?” he asked, voicing concern about how he would keep earning a living. He said he left home every day to work hard and provide for his children, and added that he wanted justice.

The incidents have raised concerns about street crime in Karachi, where residents and working people remain vulnerable to armed robberies.
