Online bike rider robbed at gunpoint near Shaheed-e-Millat Road
In a separate incident, two armed men stopped an online bike rider on Monday night near Shaheed-e-Millat Road. They took his mobile phone and cash at gunpoint while he was on his motorcycle, then fled.
Afterwards, the visibly distressed rider was seen weeping by the roadside. He said he had already been targeted in two earlier robberies, and that he had bought the stolen phone two months ago for Rs25,000. He wondered how he could afford another handset and keep earning a living.
He said he rides every day to support his children and wants justice. The cases highlight growing concern over street crime in Karachi, where residents and working people remain exposed to armed robbery.
