The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather forecast indicating that most parts of the country will experience predominantly dry conditions on Thursday. This forecast suggests a continuation of stable weather patterns across the plains, while the colder temperatures are expected to linger in the elevated and hilly regions, especially during the early mornings and nighttime hours.

the detailed forecast, daytime temperatures are anticipated to remain above average in several areas, reflecting a mild warmth despite the onset of winter. However, the northern mountainous regions, including Gilgit-Baltistan, may see partly cloudy skies with a chance of light rainfall during the evening and night. This localized precipitation could bring some relief to the dry spell but is not expected to significantly alter the overall dry weather trend.

In the federal capital, Islamabad, dry weather conditions are set to continue throughout the day, accompanied by cooler temperatures during the early morning and late night. Daytime temperatures here are projected to hover between 27 and 29 degrees Celsius, providing a comfortable climate for residents. The surrounding areas are expected to mirror this pattern, maintaining a blend of dry and chilly conditions as the day progresses.

Moving towards Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will likely witness dry weather as well, with the exception of the hilly zones where cold temperatures will persist during the mornings and nights. The plains of the province are forecasted to experience temperatures ranging from 29 to 31 degrees Celsius, while the cooler hilly terrains may see temperatures between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius. Additionally, light rain showers accompanied by partly cloudy weather may occur in Chitral and adjacent areas during the evening or nighttime hours.

Punjab province is also expected to predominantly remain dry, although the hill stations such as Murree and Galliyat will continue to face cold and partly cloudy conditions. Daytime temperatures in the central and southern districts of Punjab are forecasted to stay between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, residents of Narowal and Sialkot should prepare for the possibility of morning fog, which could affect visibility during early hours.

In Sindh, the weather is set to stay dry with daytime temperatures ranging from 33 to 36 degrees Celsius across most districts, indicating relatively warm conditions for this time of year. Similarly, Balochistan will experience mainly dry weather, though the northern districts of the province may endure cold temperatures in the mornings and nights. Daytime highs in these northern areas are expected to be between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius, while southern parts of Balochistan will see warmer temperatures ranging from 33 to 35 degrees Celsius.

Lastly, in the region of Kashmir, cold and partly cloudy weather is forecasted, maintaining the chill typical of the area during this season. Gilgit-Baltistan, meanwhile, may experience partly cloudy skies with isolated chances of light rain during the evening and nighttime, which could bring some moisture to the otherwise dry landscape.

Overall, the PMD’s forecast highlights a continuation of dry weather across much of Pakistan, punctuated by cooler spells in the hilly and northern areas. Residents are advised to prepare accordingly for the cold mornings and nights in these elevated regions while enjoying the relatively warm and dry conditions prevailing in the lowlands.
