Actress Kirsten Storms has been issued a temporary restraining order following concerns raised by her ex-husband, Brandon Barash, regarding her behaviour and mental health. Barash, who shares a 12-year-old daughter with Storms, secured the emergency order after expressing fears about their child’s safety.
In court documents, Barash highlighted Storms’ ongoing struggles with housing stability since their divorce, noting that she has frequently moved between hotels and friends’ residences. He claimed these relocations were driven by her fears of being followed. Additionally, Barash pointed to financial difficulties, alleging that Storms owed him money and was at risk of having her car repossessed. These factors contributed to his concerns about her capacity to care for their daughter.
The filings further revealed that in May 2025, Storms reportedly confided in Barash about experiencing delusions and hallucinations, expressing doubts about her ability to care for their child at that time. Barash stated that she was subsequently hospitalized and placed on a psychiatric hold, with assistance from his current wife. Upon her release, he alleged that Storms behaved as if nothing had occurred.
Barash also claimed that Storms believed individuals were entering her home and tampering with her belongings. A friend reportedly raised additional concerns, suggesting that Storms might have been misusing medication and suffering from repeated episodes of distress and auditory hallucinations.
As a result of these concerns, the court has limited Storms’ contact with their daughter to supervised visitations only. A judge is scheduled to review the restraining order later this week. Barash has also requested that Storms undergo a mental health evaluation, though it is not yet confirmed whether this has been authorized.
Storms has not made any public statements addressing these allegations.
