The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is preparing to officially distribute 5G licenses to telecom operators later this week, marking a significant milestone in the country’s telecommunications sector. This move follows the successful completion of the second phase of the 5G spectrum auction, which has paved the way for the introduction of next-generation mobile services across Pakistan.

The other two companies are expected to follow suit within the next one to two days, ensuring all prerequisites are met promptly. The terms of the license stipulate that each telecom firm must provide a bank guarantee amounting to $15 million, which serves as a safeguard to uphold the commitments tied to the 5G license.
