Bruno Mars inaugurated The Romantic Tour with an unforgettable night in Las Vegas, delivering a powerful 26-song set that showcased hits from his latest album, The Romantic, alongside tracks spanning his 15-year career. Allegiant Stadium was filled to capacity as fans gathered to celebrate the artist’s remarkable journey.
Marking his return to touring after nearly a decade, Mars embarked on his first stadium headlining tour with a performance exceeding two hours. Accompanied by his band, the Hooligans, and a 12-piece brass ensemble, the 40-year-old entertainer captivated the audience with his energetic presence and flawless choreography.
The concert opened with “Risk It All,” the fourth single from The Romantic, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wearing his signature sweat-drenched headband, Mars dominated the stage, seamlessly moving through a nonstop sequence of songs while perfectly synchronized with his musicians.
The setlist was a masterful fusion of contemporary hits and early career favorites. The No. 1 track from The Romantic, “I Just Might,” was performed alongside classics like “Just the Way You Are” and “Marry You.” The show also featured “Uptown Funk,” his 11-times platinum collaboration with Mark Ronson that held the top chart position for 14 weeks.
The first segment of the concert included songs from various stages of Mars’ career, such as “Cha Cha Cha,” “Treasure,” and “God Was Showing Off.” A medley titled “Low Rider,” which incorporated “Oh Girl,” “Miss You,” “Everything,” and “Wannabe,” highlighted his melodic versatility and arranging skills.
Later in the evening, the “romantic soul” portion featured heartfelt renditions of “Something Serious,” “Marry You,” and “Die With a Smile.” Notably, Anderson .Paak joined the stage during the Las Vegas debut, performing as DJ Pee .Wee and collaborating with Mars on four Silk Sonic tracks: “Blast Off,” “777,” “Fly as Me,” and “Leave the Door Open.” These performances were among the crowd’s favorites, underscoring the acclaim their 2021 joint album received.
