Motorway Police Ban Combined Transport of Passengers and Livestock Before Eid

In a significant development ahead of the Eid festivities, the Motorway Police have officially declared the combined transportation of passengers and livestock as a legal offense. This decision aims to enhance road safety and prevent accidents that may arise from such practices, which are common during festive seasons when travel volumes increase significantly. Authorities are emphasizing strict enforcement to ensure compliance with traffic regulations and protect both human and animal lives.

Notably, the transport of livestock alongside passengers has been a recurring concern due to the risks it poses, including overcrowding, distraction to drivers, and potential health hazards. The Motorway Police’s move is part of broader efforts to regulate traffic and improve safety standards on major highways, especially during peak travel periods like Eid. This measure also aligns with national road safety campaigns that seek to reduce traffic violations and fatalities.

Meanwhile, travelers are being advised to adhere to the new regulations and use designated transport services for livestock to avoid penalties. The enforcement of this rule is expected to streamline traffic flow and minimize disruptions caused by mixed transport loads. Overall, this initiative reflects the authorities’ commitment to safeguarding public welfare during one of the busiest travel seasons in the country.
