In Rawalpindi, law enforcement officials successfully apprehended a suspect connected to a recent violent street robbery that left a young girl assaulted and robbed. The suspect, identified as Sabeel, was taken into custody by a specialized team assembled under the leadership of SSP Operations Tariq Mehmood. Authorities revealed that Sabeel hails from Azad Kashmir and has a history of involvement in similar criminal activities, raising concerns about his repeated offenses in the region.
Crucial to the investigation was the use of CCTV footage, which captured the suspect in the act of snatching a bag from the young victim. The video also showed the suspect assaulting the girl and discharging a firearm during the robbery, an alarming escalation that underscored the danger posed to innocent civilians. One of the sisters, Mahnoor Usman, demonstrated remarkable bravery during the confrontation. She struggled valiantly to overpower the attacker, even as she was assaulted. Despite her courageous resistance, the suspect managed to escape with three mobile phones and a purse.
