A video has emerged showing two suspected robbers trying to snatch belongings from a man in broad daylight in Karachi’s Korangi district. The footage captures the suspects confronting a salesman on a busy street, surrounded by numerous bystanders.
As the robbery unfolds near a petrol pump in Zaman Town, several onlookers begin throwing stones at the assailants. This unexpected resistance compels the suspects to abandon their attempt and flee the scene without any loot.
In a significant development, police confirmed the incident occurred on September 19. The victims, identified as a salesman employed by a private company, was accosted by the two unidentified men who tried to rob him. When he resisted, the suspects reportedly struck him with the butt of a pistol, causing injury before escaping.
The case was registered at Zaman Town police station under Sections 393 (attempt to commit robbery) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The FIR, numbered 1087/26, names two unknown suspects.
Meanwhile, authorities have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage from cameras in the vicinity to identify and apprehend the culprits.
