President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have expressed strong appreciation for the recent achievements of Pakistan’s security forces in their ongoing fight against terrorism. Their remarks came in separate statements issued from the Presidency and the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday, highlighting the successful operations conducted along the country’s northern and southern borders, as well as within the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Both leaders praised the courage, professionalism, and dedication displayed by the armed forces and law enforcement agencies during these critical missions. The operations resulted in the elimination of a total of 34 terrorists associated with militant groups identified as “Fitna-e-Hindustan” and “Fitna al-Khawarij.” These groups have long posed significant threats to Pakistan’s internal security and stability, particularly in the volatile border regions.

President Zardari specifically acknowledged the high level of operational readiness and effectiveness demonstrated by the security forces. He emphasized that the killing of these terrorists and the recovery of their weapons caches are clear indicators of the forces’ commitment to safeguarding the nation. The president also reiterated the importance of continuing these efforts relentlessly under the government’s strategic framework known as “Azm-e-Istehkam,” which aims to strengthen national resilience and eliminate terrorism comprehensively.

In his statement, the president underscored the necessity of maintaining pressure on terrorist networks, especially those supported by external actors seeking to destabilize Pakistan. He stressed that there can be no relaxation in the campaign against these hostile elements, reaffirming the state’s unwavering resolve to protect its citizens and uphold national security at all costs.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also lauded the security forces for their tactical successes in both Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. He highlighted that 26 terrorists affiliated with “Fitna al-Khawarij” were neutralized in KP, while eight militants linked to “Fitna-e-Hindustan” were eliminated in Balochistan during multiple coordinated operations. The prime minister commended the forces’ expertise and operational excellence, which have led to a series of continuous victories against terrorist outfits.

Furthermore, the prime minister expressed confidence that these sustained efforts would eventually eradicate terrorism from Pakistan’s soil. He reiterated the government’s firm commitment to the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” under which a comprehensive and enduring solution to the menace of terrorism is being pursued. The prime minister’s remarks reflect the broader national consensus on the need for a united and determined approach to counter extremism and ensure peace and stability across the country.

These statements from the highest offices of Pakistan come at a crucial time when the security forces are intensifying their operations to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and prevent any resurgence of violence. The successes in KP and Balochistan not only boost morale within the ranks but also send a strong message to hostile elements that Pakistan remains resolute in defending its sovereignty and protecting its people.
