Iran VP Signals No Deal if US Chooses ‘Israel First’ Over ‘America First’

Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref emphasized that the outcome of the ongoing negotiations in Islamabad largely depends on the stance taken by the United States. He highlighted that a positive resolution is achievable if US negotiators focus on advancing their own national interests.

In a statement posted on X, Aref indicated that a mutually beneficial agreement, which could also serve the broader international community, is possible if the US adopts an “America First” approach. This, he suggested, would pave the way for constructive dialogue and progress.

However, Aref issued a stern warning that if US representatives prioritize policies aligned with “Israel First,” the chances of reaching an agreement would diminish significantly. Under such circumstances, Iran would be compelled to further enhance its defense capabilities, a move that could escalate costs and tensions for the global community.

These comments come amid critical discussions between Iran and the United States in Islamabad, where the world watches closely to see if the talks can reduce hostilities and foster a wider understanding between the two nations.
