Islamabad on High Alert as US-Iran Peace Talks Commence with Tight Security

Islamabad has been placed on a state of red alert as it prepares to host critical peace negotiations between the United States and Iran. To ensure the safety of international delegates, more than 10,000 police and paramilitary personnel have been deployed throughout the federal capital, creating a formidable security perimeter.

In a significant development, the security operation is being overseen directly by the military to eliminate any possibility of lapses. This multi-tiered security framework involves close cooperation between military forces, paramilitary units such as the Rangers, and the Islamabad and Punjab police departments.

The extensive deployment focuses on securing the Red Zone, summit venues, and all city entry and exit points, maintaining constant vigilance throughout the duration of the talks. This comprehensive approach aims to provide an impenetrable shield around the event.

Meanwhile, efforts to maintain public order and manage city logistics have also been intensified. The Islamabad Traffic Police, supported by the National Highway and Motorway Police, have been activated to oversee road networks and prevent any traffic congestion.

Although certain routes have been restricted to facilitate VIP movement, authorities are striving to keep traffic flowing smoothly for residents despite the rigorous security checks and heightened alert status across the capital.
