Saudi Arabia Condemns Iranian Attacks on Kuwaiti Military and Infrastructure

Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned recent Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting a Kuwaiti Armed Forces base along with critical civilian infrastructure, including a power and water desalination plant. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom described these assaults as cowardly and heinous acts that seriously endanger regional security and stability.

The attacks occurred on Sunday and resulted in injuries to multiple Kuwaiti military personnel, as well as significant damage to essential civilian services. Kuwaiti officials confirmed that 10 soldiers were wounded during the strike on the military camp, while a separate attack on the desalination facility led to the death of a foreign worker.

In a significant development, Riyadh reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity with Kuwait, emphasizing that any threat to the sovereignty of its neighbor constitutes a direct threat to the security of the broader Gulf region. The offensive involved coordinated missile and drone barrages, with one targeting the military encampment and another striking a service building at the desalination plant.

Saudi Arabia has called on the international community to take a resolute stance against these blatant violations of international law. The Kingdom warned that the deliberate targeting of vital civilian infrastructure represents a dangerous escalation in the ongoing regional tensions, raising concerns about future stability in the Gulf.
