Eid ul Adha, also known as the “Feast of Sacrifice,” honors the Qur’anic narrative of Prophet Ibrahim’s (PBUH) readiness to sacrifice his son in submission to Allah’s command, a trial that was ultimately replaced by the sacrifice of a ram. The festival is marked by prayers, family reunions, and charitable deeds, including the ritual slaughter of livestock, with the meat distributed among relatives, friends, and those in need.
