Pakistan’s military leadership has reiterated its firm commitment to dismantling militant networks and protecting national sovereignty from both internal and external threats. This declaration came during the 275th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at the General Headquarters on Tuesday, May 5, chaired by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The meeting served as a comprehensive strategic review of the country’s shifting security environment.

The conference included an in-depth evaluation of Operation Ghazb lil Haq, with the top military officials pledging to sustain an intensified operational pace until terrorism is completely eradicated. In a pointed statement aimed at the interim Afghan government, the commanders voiced serious concerns over militants continuing to use Afghan territory as a safe haven.

The leadership rejected Kabul’s recent allegations of Pakistani strikes as deliberate misinformation, emphasizing that the refuge provided to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and allied groups remains the main barrier to achieving peace in the region.

In a significant development, the conference also commemorated the anniversary of Marka-e-Haq, symbolizing the nation’s resilience against foreign aggression and the strong bond between the armed forces and the public. The commanders further addressed broader geopolitical dynamics, including maritime security challenges and escalating tensions between the US and Iran, stressing the critical need for regional stability and mutual restraint.

Regarding Kashmir, the forum reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Concluding the session, Field Marshal Munir instructed all regional commanders to maintain heightened vigilance and flexibility to effectively confront the complex security threats confronting the country.
