Trump Vows US Military Presence Near Iran Until Genuine Deal Achieved

US President Donald Trump announced late Wednesday that American military forces stationed near Iran will remain deployed until a genuine agreement is fully honored. This statement comes as Washington and Tehran enter a delicate two-week ceasefire following escalating tensions in the region.

Despite the truce agreed upon Tuesday, signs of instability emerged quickly. Israel launched attacks on Lebanon, and the US contradicted some of Iran’s conditions for ending the conflict ahead of scheduled negotiations. Trump emphasized on his Truth Social platform that all US ships, aircraft, personnel, and additional weaponry necessary for continued military operations would stay in place around Iran until the agreement is completely fulfilled.

While Trump described the possibility of the deal collapsing as “highly unlikely,” he warned that failure to reach terms could lead to intensified military actions described as “bigger, and better, and stronger” strikes. He added that the US military is currently preparing and resting, anticipating its next mission, declaring, “AMERICA IS BACK!”

During the ceasefire, Iran consented to reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, a crucial maritime route through which about one-fifth of the world’s oil supply passes during peacetime. However, Iran insisted it would maintain control over the passage.

In a Farsi-language statement circulated by Iranian state media, Tehran also demanded that Washington recognize its uranium enrichment program. This demand was notably absent from Iran’s official list of conditions shared with the United Nations. Trump responded by asserting that uranium enrichment would be addressed in any final agreement.

Looking ahead to the upcoming negotiations scheduled to take place in Pakistan, Trump reiterated that Iran would not be allowed to possess nuclear weapons and assured that the Strait of Hormuz would remain open and secure.
