Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to deepening defence collaboration and bilateral relations with Indonesia. This commitment was emphasized during a high-level meeting held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

The meeting took place between Field Marshal Munir and Admiral Muhammad Ali, the Chief of the Indonesian Navy, who was visiting Pakistan’s military command center. Both military leaders engaged in comprehensive discussions focusing on shared interests, regional security challenges, and avenues for expanding defence cooperation.

During their talks, both sides expressed satisfaction with the current state of military relations and agreed on the importance of further strengthening ties. Plans to enhance collaboration include increased professional training programs and conducting joint military exercises, which are expected to bolster interoperability and mutual understanding between the two armed forces.

Admiral Muhammad Ali praised the professionalism and capabilities of the Pakistan Army, highlighting the significant role played by the Pakistan Armed Forces in maintaining peace and stability across the region. This meeting marks a significant step forward in reinforcing the strategic partnership between Pakistan and Indonesia, reflecting their shared commitment to regional security and defence cooperation.
