    Neil Sedaka, the celebrated singer and songwriter who became a household name during the golden era of rock and roll, passed away peacefully at the age of 86 in a Los Angeles hospital on Friday morning. His family shared the heartbreaking news, expressing their profound grief over the loss of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. They remembered him not only as a musical icon but also as a deeply cherished human being who touched the lives of millions.

    Earlier that day, Sedaka had reportedly fallen ill at his home and was swiftly transported by ambulance to the hospital around 8 a.m. local time.     On a personal front, Neil Sedaka was married to Leba Strassberg since 1962. Together, they raised two children, Dara and Marc, who survive him along with his extended family.
