The bullet-riddled bodies of six individuals were discovered in the Nasirabad area of Turbat district, Balochistan, on Thursday. Local authorities promptly responded to the scene and transferred the bodies to a hospital for further examination.
Police confirmed that the victims had been shot, and an investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the killings and to identify the deceased. Officials emphasized that all angles of the case are being thoroughly scrutinized, with more information expected once the inquiry concludes. No definitive statements have yet been made regarding the motive or the perpetrators behind the attack.
In a significant development, Balochistan’s Special Assistant Babar Yousafzai revealed that the six recovered bodies belonged to labourers, four originating from Punjab and two from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He added that seven labourers had been abducted two days earlier from the Kalatuk area in Kech district, with one of them reportedly shot dead immediately after the kidnapping.
Meanwhile, this incident follows recent violence in Balochistan, where three bodies were found in separate locations. Among them was Master Abid Muhammad Umar, abducted and killed in the Dasht area by unidentified armed men. Additionally, two individuals were shot dead in the Sarikoran area of Panjgur district, highlighting ongoing security challenges in the region.
