Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former federal minister Malik Mukhtar Awan passed away on Tuesday following a prolonged illness. Awan was widely respected for his decades-long dedication to politics and public service, particularly within the Multan region.

In a significant development, arrangements have been made for his funeral prayers to be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Abdali Mosque in Multan. Following the prayers, he will be laid to rest in the city that he served for many years.
