Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, has issued a resolute statement affirming that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to counter any hostile actions from the Afghan regime. Speaking amid escalating tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan, he emphasized the unwavering commitment of the country’s military to safeguard national sovereignty and security at all costs.
In a message shared on social media, Barrister Gohar expressed his prayers for the protection of Pakistan and its people, invoking divine support in these challenging times. He reiterated the government’s stance on pursuing peaceful relations with neighboring countries whenever feasible, but made it clear that Pakistan will not hesitate to respond decisively to any threats or acts of aggression that compromise its territorial integrity.
Highlighting the recent confrontations along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Barrister Gohar warned that any use of force by the Afghan Taliban regime against Pakistan would be met with a robust and effective retaliation. He praised the valor and dedication of Pakistan’s security forces, stating that their efforts to defend the nation are backed by the prayers and support of the entire population.
In recent military operations, Pakistan’s armed forces launched a swift and powerful counter-offensive against unprovoked attacks by the Afghan Taliban. Under the codename Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, the Pakistan Army successfully neutralized 133 Taliban militants and inflicted injuries on more than 200 others. The operation also resulted in the complete destruction of 27 Taliban posts, with five of these positions being captured by Pakistani forces.
The counter-attack demonstrated the strength and coordination of Pakistan’s military capabilities. More than 36 enemy tanks were destroyed, alongside artillery guns and armored personnel carriers, forcing the Taliban to retreat hastily and abandon numerous strategic posts and hideouts. The Pakistan Air Force played a crucial role by conducting targeted airstrikes that obliterated key Taliban battalion and sector headquarters, destroyed ammunition depots, and raised the national flag over seven reclaimed Afghan posts.
This decisive military response underscores Pakistan’s determination to maintain peace and stability along its borders while firmly addressing any attempts to undermine its security. Barrister Gohar’s statements reflect the broader national sentiment of resilience and unity in the face of external threats, reinforcing the message that Pakistan’s armed forces remain vigilant and ready to defend the country’s sovereignty at all times.
