Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has made a heartfelt appeal to all tribal communities across the province, urging them to unite in support of the security forces. His call comes as part of a broader effort to strengthen peace and stability in a region that has long grappled with unrest and violence. Bugti emphasized that the path to meaningful development is intrinsically linked to maintaining lasting peace, a message he conveyed during a press briefing outside the Balochistan Assembly in Quetta.

During his address, Bugti expressed strong condemnation of the recent brutal killing of women in the Blida area, describing such acts as completely unacceptable and deeply troubling. He highlighted the critical role that tribal cooperation plays in assisting law enforcement agencies to effectively combat crime and violence. The chief minister stressed that without the active participation of local communities, efforts to restore order and security would remain incomplete.

Drawing attention to the progress made in certain parts of the province, Bugti pointed out that areas like Bekar have witnessed significant improvements in peace and security, attributing this success to the collaborative efforts between the people, tribal leaders, and security personnel. He specifically praised the tribes of Dera Bugti for their proactive role in maintaining law and order, underscoring how local ownership of security initiatives can lead to tangible results.

Bugti also referred to a recent tragic incident in Turbat, where unidentified gunmen attacked a residence, resulting in the death of six individuals, including a woman. This violent episode serves as a stark reminder of the challenges that still confront Balochistan. The chief minister reiterated his message that unity among the province’s diverse communities is essential to overcoming such threats. He encouraged the people of Balochistan to recognize their collective power in fostering peace by standing together and supporting the efforts of security forces.

In closing, Bugti emphasized that peace is not merely the absence of violence but a foundation upon which sustainable development and prosperity can be built. He called on all stakeholders, including tribal elders, youth, and government officials, to work hand in hand to create an environment where progress can flourish. The chief minister’s remarks highlight the ongoing commitment of Balochistan’s leadership to address security concerns through community engagement and cooperation.
