Noreen Khan, the sister of the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), sustained minor injuries after an unfortunate accident at the Dahgal checkpoint. While trying to cross an under-construction drain by jumping over it, she lost her footing and fell into the open trench. The incident occurred as she was attempting to enter a nearby building to offer her prayers, highlighting the risks posed by incomplete infrastructure in public areas.

Following the fall, Noreen was quickly assisted by PTI workers who were present at the scene. They managed to pull her out of the drain promptly and arranged for her immediate transfer to a hospital for medical evaluation. Fortunately, her injuries were not severe, and she was reported to be in a stable condition after receiving treatment. Alongside Noreen, PTI activist Sadaf also fell into the same drain but was rescued without serious harm.

The video capturing Noreen Khan’s fall quickly circulated across social media platforms, drawing widespread attention and concern from the public. Supporters and well-wishers flooded the comment sections with prayers and messages wishing her a swift recovery. This incident has sparked conversations about the safety hazards posed by unfinished construction projects, especially in busy public checkpoints where foot traffic is high.

It is worth noting that the Dahgal checkpoint is a frequently used passage for many commuters and party workers, making the presence of such open drains particularly dangerous. The accident involving a prominent political figure’s family member has brought renewed focus on the urgent need for improved safety measures and timely completion of infrastructure projects to prevent similar mishaps in the future.

Authorities and local officials have yet to issue a formal statement regarding the incident or any plans to expedite repairs at the site. Meanwhile, PTI members and supporters remain hopeful for Noreen Khan’s full recovery and have expressed gratitude for the quick response of those who helped her at the scene. This episode serves as a reminder of the everyday challenges faced by citizens due to incomplete urban development and the importance of vigilance in such environments.
