Picsart Introduces Monetization Program to Reward Creators for Original Work

AI-driven design platform Picsart has unveiled a new creator monetization program accessible to all users without any invitation or minimum follower requirements. This initiative encourages creators to develop original content utilizing Picsart’s tools for designated campaigns, share their work on social media, and earn income based on audience interaction rather than follower numbers.

With this move, Picsart is transitioning from a simple creative application to a platform that actively supports creators financially, aiming to attract and retain digital talent. Upon enrollment, creators gain access to a dashboard featuring current prompts and creative challenges. For instance, one campaign might invite creators to produce animated content using Picsart Aura, the platform’s AI conversational assistant.

The company emphasizes that merely generating AI images without genuine creative input will not generate significant engagement or earnings. After completing their content, creators submit a short form including the live social media URL and relevant campaign tags. The content is then published directly by the creator on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X.

Creator earnings are determined by key performance indicators like views, comments, shares, and overall reach. Users can track these metrics through their personal dashboard and conveniently withdraw funds via Stripe.

“We have always believed creativity should be accessible to everyone, and now the rewards should be as well,” said Picsart founder and CEO Hovhannes Avoyan. He noted that the creator economy has long faced a structural issue where platforms have not fully committed to compensating everyday creators, and this straightforward program seeks to address that gap.

Founded in 2011, the unicorn startup offers various earning opportunities for creators producing tutorials, edits, or short-form videos. This new program follows closely after Picsart’s launch of an AI agent marketplace, which enables users to hire AI assistants for editing tasks across platforms like Shopify.
