Khawaja Asif Warns of Potential Indian False Flag Operation Amid Tensions

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif issued a warning on Saturday in Sialkot, suggesting that India might orchestrate another false flag operation. Addressing the media, he refrained from commenting directly on the ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict, highlighting Pakistan’s active role as a mediator in the negotiations.

He emphasized Pakistan’s significant contribution to fostering dialogue and expressed optimism for peace in the region. “We hope that peace prevails and that disputes among brotherly nations are resolved. Pakistan’s efforts toward reconciliation must succeed,” he stated.

However, Asif cautioned that India seems to be operating in a “false flag mode,” potentially staging incidents by using deceased bodies to create fabricated terrorism narratives. He noted that such actions might involve either Indian citizens or Pakistani prisoners.

Reflecting on the 2025 Pakistan-India war, Asif recalled that India’s actions a year earlier had attracted widespread criticism both internationally and domestically. Despite India’s superior economic and military capabilities, Pakistan has historically responded effectively. He warned that any future aggression from India would be met with a strong and decisive response.

In a significant development, Asif also addressed the recurring hostile rhetoric from India, describing it as a sign of strategic anxiety rather than strength. He referred to the upcoming anniversary of the staged false flag operation in Pahlgam, an incident that failed international scrutiny and revealed New Delhi’s dependence on manufactured crises.

He criticized such threat-mongering as a predictable tactic aimed at externalizing internal vulnerabilities and provoking escalation through baseless allegations for political gain. Posting on his social media platform X, Asif reminded that history clearly shows the consequences of miscalculations. He concluded by stating that the memory of Marka-e-Haq remains vivid, and any future response from Pakistan will be even more forceful and resolute.
