Bollywood actor Imran Khan recently opened up about his early challenges in the film industry and addressed the comparisons often made between him and Ranbir Kapoor. During an appearance on The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra, Season 3, produced by Gautam Thakker Films, he shared his perspective on the nature of competition within cinema.
Imran emphasized that he never viewed the film industry as a competitive arena. He expressed that the idea of creative rivalry diminishes the essence of cinema, stating that reducing the art form to a contest does not do justice to the films created. He elaborated on the subjective nature of film appreciation, noting that while some viewers may be emotionally impacted by a movie, others may not, and that this diversity of experience should not be quantified by numbers or metrics.
In a significant development, Imran also addressed rumors of a fallout with Ranbir Kapoor. He clarified that such reports were largely driven by media speculation and industry pressures rather than any personal discord. Although the two actors are close in age, Imran revealed they never had a personal relationship, interacting only as fellow newcomers navigating the early stages of their careers.
