    PM Shehbaz and Saudi FM Discuss Regional Peace and Stability

    Islamabad: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday to deliberate on strategies aimed at fostering peace and stability in the region. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, National Security Advisor Lt. Gen. Muhammad Asim Malik, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, who supported the discussions.

    During the cordial encounter, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a warm welcome to the Saudi Foreign Minister and conveyed his respectful regards to The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, along with warm greetings for Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast solidarity and unwavering support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

    In a significant development, the Prime Minister praised Saudi Arabia’s remarkable restraint amid the ongoing crisis and assured that Pakistan would continue to stand firmly alongside the Kingdom. He also referenced his recent discussions with the Crown Prince, including their meeting in Jeddah on 12 March, highlighting Pakistan’s active diplomatic engagement during the current turmoil. This includes mediation efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and encouraging dialogue between the United States and Iran.

    Emphasizing Saudi Arabia’s leadership within the Muslim Ummah, the Prime Minister underscored the urgent need for unity among Islamic nations during this critical period. Meanwhile, the Saudi Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the reception and shared the latest Saudi viewpoints on the regional situation.

    Both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agreed to maintain close coordination of their positions to promote peace and stability across the region, signaling a continued partnership in addressing the challenges ahead.
