Megan Thee Stallion has touched the hearts of many after introducing her fans to her “new son,” a rescue dog she saved from being euthanized at a shelter. On March 26, the Grammy-winning artist took to Instagram to share the story of adopting Tyger just moments before he was scheduled for euthanasia.
In a heartfelt video, Megan expressed her surprise upon discovering the existence of kill shelters, where animals are sometimes put down due to overcrowding. “I was yesterday years old when I found out there’s such a thing as a kill shelter,” she said. “That is insane.” She revealed that Tyger was set to be euthanized the day before she posted the video, but she immediately intervened to give him a second chance at life.
Determined to save him, Megan insisted, “No way. Just give him to me. I’ll take him.” She admitted uncertainty about how her other pets, including 4oe, her beloved French bulldog, and 4oe’s puppies, would react to the new addition. Megan is also a cat mom to a Maine coon named Nine.
In the clip, Tyger is seen snuggling affectionately with Megan, who introduced him warmly as part of her family. “I don’t know what kind of dog this is, but he my son. He my new son,” she said lovingly.
Megan Thee Stallion frequently shares glimpses of her pets on social media, and this latest addition has clearly found a special place in her heart.
