RAWALPINDI: On Thursday, Kuwait’s Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah, accompanied by a senior delegation, held talks with Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
Also present was Kuwait’s Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lt-Gen Khalid Darj Saad Al-Shriaan. The discussions centered on issues of shared interest, regional security challenges, and ways to deepen bilateral defence cooperation.
In a significant development, both parties reiterated their dedication to strengthening institutional ties and broadening mutually advantageous defence collaboration between Pakistan and Kuwait. The Kuwaiti delegation expressed admiration for the professionalism and operational capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces, highlighting their vital role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Meanwhile, the meeting reinforced the commitment of both nations to transform their historic and fraternal relations into a robust and lasting defence partnership. The participants also emphasized the need for ongoing cooperation to support security and stability across the region.
