A court in Rawalpindi on Sunday ordered physical remand for two individuals arrested in connection with the murder of Hina Javed. Her body was discovered in a bathroom at her residence in the Lalkurti area, which falls under the Civil Lines police jurisdiction.

Hina had been married to the primary suspect, Faisal Asghar, for nine months. Both Faisal and a domestic worker named Zeeshan were presented before the magistrate by the police, who requested their physical remand to further the investigation.

The investigation officer revealed that a rope and wire, believed to have been used in the murder, were recovered from the suspects. Additionally, DNA samples were collected from both individuals to assist with forensic analysis. The magistrate approved the police’s request, placing the suspects in custody for three days.

Authorities also confirmed that Faisal’s father has become part of the inquiry, with his statement already recorded. Police allege that Faisal paid Zeeshan to aid in the killing, with the domestic worker reportedly assisting during the crime.

A murder case has been registered at the Civil Lines police station following the death of Hina Javed. The first information report, filed by the victim’s brother, states that Hina’s hands were tied behind her back and her mouth was covered with cloth when her body was found.
