Kushner Vows No Gaza Reconstruction Until Hamas Disarms Amid Ongoing Strikes

Jared Kushner, former senior advisor to President Trump and US envoy, declared that reconstruction efforts in Gaza will be withheld until Hamas fully disarms. This stance comes as Israel continues its military campaign against Gaza, targeting militant infrastructure amid escalating violence. Kushner emphasized that the United States will not limit Israel’s right to defend itself against attacks from Hamas, reinforcing Washington’s support for Israeli security measures.

In a significant development, Kushner’s remarks highlight the ongoing geopolitical complexities surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The decision to link Gaza’s rebuilding to Hamas’s disarmament underscores the challenges in achieving peace and stability in the region. It also reflects the US administration’s strategic approach to counterterrorism and regional security, which prioritizes dismantling militant capabilities before facilitating humanitarian aid and reconstruction.

Meanwhile, the continuation of airstrikes in Gaza has resulted in widespread destruction and humanitarian concerns, drawing international attention and calls for ceasefire. The conditionality imposed by Kushner on Gaza’s reconstruction could further complicate diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the conflict. This position signals a firm US commitment to supporting Israel while navigating the delicate balance between military action and humanitarian considerations in the Middle East.
