Eighteen terrorists associated with Fitna Al Hindustan were killed in two separate incidents in Balochistan on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed.

In a significant development, an under-preparation Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) detonated prematurely in Surab district during the morning hours while terrorists were assembling it. This explosion resulted in the deaths of eight terrorists and injured several others.

Notably, the initial blast was followed by a secondary explosion involving explosives stored at the site, which also caused the deaths of three nearby civilians.

Following the incident, security forces in coordination with Balochistan Police launched a joint clearance operation aimed at tracking down the terrorists and their facilitators. During this operation, security forces engaged with fleeing terrorists, killing an additional 10 militants.

The ISPR reported that a total of 18 terrorists linked to Fitna Al Hindustan have been killed in these incidents so far. Meanwhile, two security personnel sustained injuries during the exchange of fire.

Sanitisation operations are ongoing in the area to eliminate any remaining threats. The ISPR emphasized that security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their counter-terrorism efforts under the Azm-e-Istehkam campaign, which is endorsed by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan. This campaign aims to eradicate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
