South Air, a private domestic airline, has officially launched its scheduled regional flight operations from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. This development marks a significant step in expanding the airport’s domestic flight network, providing travelers with more options for air travel within Pakistan.

The airline’s initial services include flights from Karachi to Islamabad and Quetta, two major cities that are key hubs for business and government activities. In addition to these routes, South Air plans to introduce flights to Peshawar, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Gwadar, further broadening its reach across the country.

In a notable expansion of its operations, South Air will start with one weekly flight on the Karachi-Turbat route and three weekly flights connecting Karachi and Bahawalpur. These routes are expected to enhance connectivity for passengers traveling between southern and northern regions of Pakistan. The airline has also expressed intentions to continue growing its domestic network in the near future, aiming to serve more destinations and increase flight frequencies.

The Pakistan Airports Authority highlighted that the addition of South Air’s services will strengthen Jinnah International Airport’s role as a key domestic aviation hub. This move is anticipated to improve air travel accessibility and convenience for passengers flying between Karachi and several important cities across Pakistan, supporting both economic and social ties within the country.
