In a tragic escalation of tribal tensions, four individuals lost their lives and a young girl sustained injuries after a violent exchange of gunfire between two tribes in the Badwan area of Qila Abdullah. The incident has once again highlighted the fragile security situation in this region, where tribal rivalries frequently lead to deadly confrontations.
The victims have been identified as Ubaidullah, Ziaullah, Aimal, and Mohammad Shahid. Following the clash, their bodies were transported to the Trauma Centre at Mezi Adda for initial medical examination and legal procedures before being handed over to their families for burial. The injured girl, named Bibi Saniya, was transferred to Quetta for advanced medical treatment due to the severity of her wounds.
Authorities have attributed the violent outbreak to a longstanding feud between the Kakozai and Achakzai tribes, which has periodically resulted in violent encounters over the years. This latest incident underscores the persistent challenges faced by law enforcement and local administration in maintaining peace and preventing such tribal conflicts from escalating.
