Rain Forecasted in Parts of Pakistan Amid Widespread Hot, Dry Weather

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a forecast indicating rainfall in certain areas of the country, even as hot and dry weather conditions are expected to dominate most regions.

On Monday, much of Pakistan will experience warm and arid weather. The plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including the city of Peshawar, are anticipated to remain hot and dry throughout the day. Temperatures in Peshawar may soar to 39 degrees Celsius, accompanied by humidity levels around 48 percent.

Meanwhile, the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to see milder weather, with light rain predicted at isolated spots in Swat, Chitral, and Dir. Additionally, scattered rainfall is expected in parts of the Potohar plateau, Kashmir, and Punjab.

Despite these localized showers, intense heat will persist across the country’s plains. Authorities have urged the public to minimize exposure to direct sunlight and take necessary precautions to safeguard themselves against the heat.

In a significant development, this forecast arrives as officials continue to closely monitor weather patterns ahead of the summer season. While intermittent rain may offer some relief in select areas, the majority of the country is set to remain under hot and dry conditions for the foreseeable future.
