Islamabad Traffic Police have unveiled an extensive traffic management strategy for Eidul Adha, involving the deployment of more than 400 personnel across major roads throughout the three-day holiday period.

Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Work highlighted that special arrangements have been implemented to facilitate smooth traffic flow and enhance public convenience during the festive days. The plan specifically targets the increased traffic volume expected at key roads and popular recreational areas during Eid.

Over 400 traffic officers will be stationed along major routes to regulate traffic and assist commuters. Additionally, dedicated squads will be positioned at picnic spots to prevent dangerous activities such as one-wheeling and reckless driving.

In a significant development, Sarfraz Work urged young people to refrain from illegal behavior during the celebrations and warned that strict legal measures will be enforced against any violations of traffic regulations, without exception.

He emphasized the importance of parking vehicles only in designated areas at picnic locations to prevent congestion. “Celebrate Eid while we work to provide the best travel experience on the roads,” he added.

The CTO also called on citizens to cooperate with traffic authorities and exhibit responsible civic conduct throughout the holiday period to ensure safety and order.
