NBC is undergoing a significant programming overhaul for its 2026 television schedule, resulting in the cancellation of several prominent series. This move reflects the network’s efforts to adapt to evolving viewer habits and realign its content with the preferences of local affiliates.

Among the most notable cancellations is Law & Order: Organized Crime, which has been discontinued after five seasons. The spinoff, starring Christopher Meloni as Detective Elliot Stabler, debuted in 2021 and quickly became a flagship series. Following the announcement, Meloni shared an emotional message on Instagram, expressing gratitude to fans for their support.

In addition, the medical drama Brilliant Minds, featuring Zachary Quinto, was canceled after two seasons. The network also decided not to renew the freshman comedy Stumble following its initial season.

Daytime programming has been particularly affected by the cuts. After nearly three decades on air, both Access Hollywood and its companion show Access Daily will end. The popular The Kelly Clarkson Show is also concluding after seven seasons, with Clarkson previously indicating her desire to focus on family commitments.

Other daytime series facing cancellation include Karamo, which will not return for a fifth season, and The Steve Wilkos Show, ending after 19 seasons.

To summarize, the NBC shows canceled so far are: Law & Order: Organized Crime, Brilliant Minds, Stumble, Access Hollywood, Access Daily, The Kelly Clarkson Show, Karamo, and The Steve Wilkos Show. Further cancellations may be announced as the 2025–26 television season concludes.
