In a significant development in Karachi, 25 sacrificial goats valued at over Rs1.9 million were stolen from the Gulistan-e-Jauhar area. The theft occurred late at night between Friday and Saturday in Block 8-A, where the animals had been secured at a plot in preparation for Eid ul Adha.

police reports, the culprits arrived on motorcycles and a car before loading the goats into a mini-truck and fleeing the scene. CCTV footage capturing the incident has emerged, clearly showing the suspects taking the animals away.

The owner, Muhammad Osama Khan, stated that the goats were brought to Karachi specifically for sale during the Eid festivities. A formal complaint has been lodged at the Malir Cantt police station, prompting authorities to launch an investigation.

Police are actively working to identify and apprehend the suspects, utilizing the available CCTV evidence and video recordings. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.

Notably, this incident is part of a growing pattern of sacrificial animal thefts reported in various cities across Pakistan ahead of Eid ul Adha in recent years, highlighting a concerning trend.
