The Balochistan Assembly has unanimously adopted a resolution lauding Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, for their resolute leadership during the recent Marka-e-Haq operation and the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign, Operation Azm-e-Istehkam.

In a session held in Quetta and chaired by Speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, the resolution was introduced by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. It received widespread support from members across both treasury and opposition benches, reflecting a consolidated political stance amid regional security challenges.

The resolution emphasized the personal dedication of the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal in managing the complexities of Marka-e-Haq, portraying these efforts as crucial to maintaining both provincial and national stability. It also reaffirmed the assembly’s commitment to Operation Azm-e-Istehkam, which aims to eliminate extremism and promote long-term peace and prosperity in the province.

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti highlighted the effective collaboration between the federal government and the military leadership, crediting this partnership with restoring public trust. After the resolution’s passage and brief deliberations on security matters, Speaker Achakzai adjourned the session until Monday, when legislative activities are set to continue.
