Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to arrive in Islamabad this evening, accompanied by a small delegation. This visit marks a significant step in Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to mediate between the United States and Iran, aiming to ease longstanding tensions between the two nations.

In recent weeks, Pakistan has actively engaged with both parties, facilitating dialogue and creating a conducive environment for negotiations. Following important discussions with Pakistan’s mediation team, there are strong indications that a second round of peace talks between the US and Iran could soon take place in Islamabad, underscoring Pakistan’s growing role as a regional diplomatic intermediary.

Meanwhile, a US logistics and security team is already stationed in Islamabad to provide necessary support for the upcoming negotiation process. Their presence highlights the seriousness with which both sides are approaching these talks, as well as Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring a secure and effective dialogue platform.

In a significant development, these efforts reflect Pakistan’s strategic position in fostering dialogue between Washington and Tehran. By hosting these discussions, Islamabad is contributing to regional stability and demonstrating its capacity to act as a neutral facilitator in complex international disputes.
