Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar engaged in a significant telephone conversation with Canada’s Foreign Minister Anita Anand, addressing the evolving regional dynamics and recent developments. This dialogue comes at a crucial time as Islamabad prepares to host the second phase of the US-Iran talks, underscoring the importance of diplomatic efforts in the region.

During their exchange, both leaders shared perspectives on pressing regional challenges, emphasizing the need for sustainable peace and stability. The Canadian foreign minister expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic role aimed at fostering harmony and reducing tensions across neighboring countries.

Notably, the discussion also highlighted the situation in Lebanon, with both officials focusing on the importance of achieving a lasting ceasefire and ensuring long-term stability in the country. This reflects broader concerns about regional security and the impact of ongoing conflicts on neighboring states.

In a significant development, both Ishaq Dar and Anita Anand reaffirmed their dedication to enhancing bilateral cooperation and working collaboratively toward regional stability. Their conversation signals a mutual commitment to supporting peace initiatives and underscores Pakistan’s role as a key diplomatic player in facilitating dialogue and conflict resolution.
