Four Killed in Separate Karachi Road Accidents Including Two Sisters and a Child

Karachi witnessed a tragic night on Monday as three separate road accidents in different parts of the city resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including two sisters and a young child. These incidents have once again highlighted the growing concerns over road safety in the bustling metropolis.

In a particularly heartbreaking case at Nazimabad No. 1, two sisters lost their lives after their motorcycle slipped, causing them to fall under a heavy vehicle. The motorcycle was reportedly carrying the two sisters along with their brother, who survived the accident without any injuries. Unfortunately, the sisters were crushed by the rear wheels of a 22-wheeler oil tanker that was passing by at the time. Authorities promptly arrested the tanker driver and impounded the vehicle for further investigation. The bodies of the deceased sisters were transported to Abbassi Shaheed Hospital for postmortem procedures.

Meanwhile, near Benazir Chowk in Ibrahim Hyderi, a tragic accident claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy named Abdul Musawir. Details about the circumstances of this incident remain limited, but rescue teams confirmed the child’s death at the scene. This incident adds to the growing number of vulnerable road users who fall victim to traffic mishaps in the city.

In another fatal accident on the SITE Super Highway close to Muhammadi Goth, a 25-year-old man named Abdul Hameed lost his life when his motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle. Rescue officials reported that the collision was severe, and the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene, complicating efforts to identify and apprehend the culprit. These consecutive accidents underscore the urgent need for improved traffic management and stricter enforcement of road safety regulations in Karachi.
