    Kuwait Schedules Power Outages for Maintenance from April 5-11, 2026

    The Ministry of Electricity and Water and Renewable Energy in Kuwait has announced a schedule for planned maintenance on several secondary substations. These efforts aim to maintain and improve the reliability and efficiency of the country’s power network. As a result, temporary power interruptions will occur in various districts during the maintenance periods.

    Starting Sunday, April 5, 2026, power outages will begin at 1:00 AM and last approximately four hours in areas including Jaber Al-Ahmad Block 7, Al-Oyoun Block 1, Al-Wafra Residential Block 6, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Blocks 1 and 7, Salwa Block 2, and Qortuba Block 2.

    On Monday, April 6, the outages will continue at the same time in Qurtuba Block 2, Salwa Block 2, Al-Oyoun Block 1, Jaber Al-Ahmad Block 2, Al-Qusour Block 1, Abu Ftaira Suburb Block 1, Al-Wafra Residential Block 6, and Al-Rai Block 1.

    Tuesday, April 7, will see similar interruptions in Al-Rai Block 1, Al-Qusour Block 1, Abu Ftaira Suburb Block 1, Al-Wafra Residential Block 6, Al-Oyoun Block 1, Jaber Al-Ahmad Block 5, Salwa Block 4, Shamiya Block 8, and Qortuba Block 3.

    On Wednesday, April 8, power will be cut from 1:00 AM for four hours in Qurtuba Block 3, Bneid Al-Qar Block 2, Salwa Block 5, Al-Oyoun Block 4, Al-Wafra Residential Block 6, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Block 7, Abu Ftaira Suburb Block 1, and Al-Rai Block 1.

    Thursday, April 9, will involve outages in Al-Rai Block 1, Al-Wafra Residential Block 6, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Block 7, Abu Ftaira Suburb Block 1, Salwa Block 12, Bneid Al-Qar Block 2, and Qurtuba Block 3.

    Friday, April 10, power interruptions will affect Salwa Block 5, Hawally Block 9, Jaber Al-Ahmad Block 5, Al-Rai Block 1, and Sharq Block 3 during the early morning hours.

    On Saturday, April 11, the outages will continue in Sharq Block 3, Al-Rai Block 1, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Blocks 3 and 4, Al-Wafra Residential Block 6, Al-Naeem Block 2, Salmiya Block 4, and Hawally Block 1.

    Authorities have urged residents to conserve electricity, particularly during peak consumption times. Efficient use of electrical appliances is encouraged to help reduce the load on the power grid during this maintenance period.
