The Elementary and Secondary Education Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Arshad Ayub Khan, officially launched the E-Transfer Policy Plus in Peshawar on Tuesday. This innovative digital platform aims to transform the process of transferring teachers across schools within the province.

Key officials present at the event included Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Khalid, Special Secretary Iftikhar Ali Khan, Additional Secretaries Hayatullah Khan and Muhammad Saleh Khan, Director Elementary and Secondary Education Naumana Sardar, Director IT Salahuddin Khan, along with other department representatives.

During the briefing, it was explained that the E-Transfer Policy Plus 2026 covers transfers for the teaching cadre, including manual and vacant-post transfers, as well as tenure-based transfers for education management and ministerial cadres. The policy incorporates a scoring system that evaluates factors such as the duration of service at a school, student-teacher ratios, academic performance, and attendance records. Additional priority is given to applicants with disabilities, widows, higher qualifications, or specific domicile requirements.

This new system is designed to offer improved transfer opportunities for education department employees, making the process more equitable and accessible.

Minister Arshad Ayub Khan emphasized that the provincial government has taken a landmark step by introducing the E-Transfer Policy Plus, which balances teachers’ preferences with merit-based criteria. He noted that previously, teachers encountered significant obstacles and often depended on informal methods to secure transfers. The new digital platform ensures transparency, fairness, and the convenience of applying from home.

He further stated that the implementation of this system is expected to enhance academic performance and improve learning outcomes for students. Highlighting the importance of teacher welfare alongside students’ futures, the minister pointed out that teachers can now submit transfer requests via a mobile application, empowering them to exercise their rights more effectively.

In conclusion, Arshad Ayub Khan assured that the government plans to continue refining the E-Transfer Policy Plus to better achieve its educational objectives across the province.
