This figure starkly contrasts with the official government estimate, which reported only 16 deaths. The incident highlights the escalating security crisis in Haiti, where armed groups frequently terrorize communities, undermining public safety and stability.

    Haiti has been grappling with widespread violence fueled by powerful gangs that control large swathes of territory, often clashing with each other and targeting civilians. The surge in such attacks exacerbates the country’s humanitarian challenges, including displacement and limited access to essential services.
